Chemical residue can stay on surfaces for months. I can not even begin to tell you how it makes me cringe thinking about a little baby absorbing all those chemicals into their bodies. There are safer alternatives. Many of the alternatives you can make in your kitchen with ingredients you already have in the pantry. Here are somethings to try. Natural safe cleaners should always be your first choice.
Cleaning products that respect the earth as well as its inhabitants is the only real option! Baking soda is a natural ingredient that has natural abrasive properties. You can use baking soda to freshen tubs, sinks and drains. Lemon juice is also a natural cleaning agent. You can mix the baking soda into a paste with the lemon juice and place it on tough stains in your tub, toilet or sink and let it sit for 15 minutes than rinse it clean.
If you have tough toilet clog don't instantly reach for harsh chemicals. A couple of pots of boiling water and some Dawn dish washing liquid may cure your problem. First squirt two or three shots of the dawn liquid in the toilet.Close the lid and wait thirty minutes. Than take two big pots full of boiling water and pour it slowly into the toilet wait 20 minutes than flush. It really does work. You may have to repeat these steps.
The point is your child and your family should not be exposed to unnecessary chemicals. Try These:
